Testing Fees

[Standard Testing]

^*The number of days to report results is an estimate from the “test start date.” For samples submitted in the evening or on Sundays, holidays, or during the New Year period, the following business day becomes the “test start date.” For self-pay testing, results can be confirmed later by email.

^**High-risk types “16” and “18” are judged individually, and results are shown as “Positive (type 16)” or “Positive (type 18).” If any other high-risk type (31, 33, 35, 39, 45, 51, 52, 56, 58, 59, 66, 68) is detected, the result is shown as “Positive (type other than 16/18).” For high-risk types other than 16 and 18, the individual type number is not shown.

^***This test determines which of several clinically important types (high-risk and low-risk) are detected, and the result is shown as “Negative” or the “positive type number(s).” This is not a test that covers and judges all HPV types.

[Same-Day Testing]

^*Results of the vaginal discharge test will be explained by a doctor, so a separate consultation fee applies.

^**This test is available only for those with symptoms. If you have no symptoms but are concerned about infection, we recommend the herpes antibody test.

HIV Prevention (PrEP)

Our clinic offers generic PrEP, available at an affordable price. In addition, every set includes the cost of the blood tests required to start and continue PrEP.

Set Prices

^*Includes HIV, hepatitis B, syphilis, and kidney function tests. For those who do not wish to return to the clinic for the 3-month test, a mail-in kit can also be provided (+500 yen).

Prices for Those Who Do Not Need Testing

For those who have undergone HIV and hepatitis B testing within the past week and bring the results with them, PrEP can be prescribed at the prices below.

Prevention of Other STIs

PrEP is a prevention method for HIV alone. It has no preventive effect against STIs other than HIV, so regular testing is recommended.

Being infected with syphilis, gonorrhea, or chlamydia makes it easier to contract HIV. This is because infection of the urethra, vagina, oral cavity, or anus causes inflammation of the mucous membranes, and HIV enters where the mucosal barrier has been weakened.

In addition, testing for other STIs such as gonorrhea and chlamydia is strongly recommended when starting PrEP and afterward.

For those we prescribe PrEP/PEP to, our clinic provides syphilis testing free of charge and gonorrhea/chlamydia testing at a special price, as a way to further reduce the risk of HIV infection.

HIV Emergency Prevention (PEP)

For those taking PEP, our clinic provides emotional support from the risk exposure until HIV-negative status is confirmed, along with any additional testing needed depending on the circumstances of the exposure, backed by the specialized expertise of a doctor certified by the Japanese Society for AIDS Research.

Testing for other STIs such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia can be performed at a special price when starting PEP and afterward.

For those who purchase the PEP set, our clinic offers the following tests at a special price for one month from the date of PEP purchase.

STI Prevention (Doxy-PEP)

This is a method of preventing syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia by taking medication within 72 hours after sexual activity.

The reported prevention effectiveness was 87 percent for syphilis, 88 percent for chlamydia, and 55 percent for gonorrhea (International AIDS Society, July 2022).

For these STIs, it is said that sexual activity with a positive partner results in transmission approximately 30% of the time for syphilis and approximately 50% of the time for chlamydia and gonorrhea, making this an extremely high prevention rate that is attracting worldwide attention.

At our clinic, a doctor will thoroughly explain the risks and benefits of STI prevention medication during consultation, and eligibility is considered on a case-by-case basis for each patient. Please ask the doctor for details during your consultation. Prescription is also possible via telephone consultation.

Basic Costs

Costs for Those Who Do Not Need Testing

Those who have undergone all testing — including syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia (for gonorrhea and chlamydia, at every site with potential exposure) — within the past week can be prescribed with only the consultation fee and medication fee.

Testing done at facilities other than our clinic is also eligible. For those using the regular 3-visit testing set, since the set includes syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia testing, prescription is possible on the day of testing.

Options Exclusive to Doxy-PEP Purchasers

For those we prescribe Doxy-PEP to, our clinic offers the vaginal discharge test (vaginal candida, trichomonas, bacterial vaginosis) at a special price.

STI Prevention Vaccines

For first-time vaccination only, a separate consultation fee (2,500 yen for first visit, 1,000 yen for follow-up) will be charged.

From the second visit onward, if you are only receiving a vaccination, no consultation fee will be charged.

Our clinic offers hepatitis A and B vaccines, gonorrhea vaccine, and HPV vaccine for STI prevention.

Vaginitis Prevention

For vaginitis (vaginal candidiasis / bacterial vaginosis), there is an option to prevent recurrence.

Prevention of Vaginal Candidiasis

Experiencing vaginal candidiasis 4 or more times a year is called “recurrent vaginal candidiasis,” and it is said that approximately 60 to 70 percent of cases recur within 6 months.

By using a prevention medication for vaginal candidiasis taken once a week for 6 months, it has been reported that the recurrence rate drops to approximately 10 to 20 percent.

Patients starting or in the induction phase of the vaginal candidiasis prevention medication can receive vaginal discharge testing and contraceptive injections at a special price.

Prevention of Bacterial Vaginosis

It is known that bacterial vaginosis can be prevented by treating the partner together with the patient.

A randomized controlled trial published in March 2025 reported that, in addition to standard treatment for the woman, giving the male partner 7 days of oral treatment plus topical treatment reduced the recurrence rate within 12 weeks from 63% to 35% (roughly a halving).

Late-Onset Hypogonadism (LOH) Clinic

ED Treatment Medication

Premature Ejaculation Treatment Medication

For the first visit only, a consultation fee (first visit 2,500 yen, follow-up 1,000 yen) will be charged separately.

From the second time onward, if only a medication prescription is requested, no consultation fee will be charged.

AGA/FAGA Treatment Medication

For the first visit only, a consultation fee (first visit 2,500 yen, follow-up 1,000 yen) will be charged separately.

AGA (Androgenetic Alopecia) is well known to affect men, but many women also struggle with hair loss, and a condition known as female androgenetic alopecia (FAGA) in particular can be treated and prevented with topical or oral medications.

Our clinic is always happy to receive consultations regarding hair loss from patients using hormone preparations (particularly transgender men).

From the second time onward, if only a medication prescription is requested, no consultation fee will be charged.

Cost of AGA Treatment Medication

Finasteride and dutasteride are described as medications that “prevent hair loss and strengthen hair,” while minoxidil is described as a medication that “promotes hair growth.”

When using minoxidil, if it is not used together with finasteride or dutasteride, the hair growth cycle will not normalize and hair loss will increase.

Using a set can be expected to have a synergistic effect, providing not only hair loss prevention but also hair growth promotion.

Pills, Mini Pills, and Contraceptive Injection

Smoking Cessation Medication

Influenza Prevention Medication

Our clinic carries influenza prevention medication.

It is said that starting the medication within 48 hours of contact with an influenza patient can reduce the risk of developing the illness by 60-90%. If you would like to lower your infection risk before travel or studying abroad, please consult with us.

*This is not a substitute for vaccination (can be used together).

The influenza prevention medications available at our clinic are as follows.

A doctor’s consultation is always required for prescription of influenza prevention medication.

A consultation fee (first visit 2,500 yen, follow-up 1,000 yen) is required separately.

^*For adults. Our clinic does not prescribe this to children weighing less than 37.5kg.

^**For those aged 10 and over. For those under 10, the dose is 20mg (4,000 yen). Not available for children who are unable to inhale the medication.

Sublingual Immunotherapy

Sublingual immunotherapy consultations can be provided under insurance coverage.

The fees required for testing and prescription are as follows.
